ABOUT

Meet our rather talented teachers...

Stuart Steel

Founder & Teacher

I'm a qualified primary teacher with  experience across the Key Stage 2 years and have been involved in mentoring and training teachers. After becoming increasingly frustrated at the constant changes in education,  I decided to set up my own tuition company where I could put the individual needs of children first, with a focus on creative and fun learning. In 2010, I founded Skills School Tuition and from humble beginnings we now see over 100 students per week.

Ann Bennett

Primary Teacher

After qualifying as a primary school teacher I spent ten years teaching in East London. A family move to Cirencester coincided with the birth of my third daughter (a fourth followed) and a break from teaching. I started working as a tutor in 2009. It's a real privilege to be able to work with small groups of children and focus purely on their individual learning needs. I aim to help the students grow in confidence and self belief so that they can be motivated, successful learners.

Karen green

Primary Teacher

After qualifying as a Primary School teacher in 2008, I worked at Dorchester Middle School for several years before relocating to Gloucestershire.  I now work as a supply teacher and private tutor and love the challenge of teaching a wide array of pupils.  When I am not teaching, I work as a painter and textile artist.  My artistic background compliments my teaching as it allows me to work creatively with children.  Enjoyment, I believe, is the key to progression!

Erin Campbell

Primary Teacher

I qualified as a teacher in 2006, and have enjoyed the variety of teaching every year group from Reception to Year 6 during that time. As a keen learner myself, I went on to also complete a MA in Education in 2009. I have also spent four years as a Housemistress at a boarding school, where I enjoyed looking after the pastoral needs of junior boarders. I firmly believe that confidence is the key to success and enjoy providing children with the encouragement  they need to reach their full potential, challenging them within a supportive atmosphere.
